NEW DELHI: Microsoft will be launching the LTE supporting variant of the Surface Pro 4 hybrid laptop in December this year. The announcement was made by the company corporate vice president, Microsoft Devices, Panos Panay in a keynote session at Future Decoded in London.
Panay says that 'Microsoft Surface Pro with LTE Advanced' will be shipping to business customers in December this year. For those who missed, Microsoft launched its Surface Pro 4 laptop in May this year.
It has been added that the Surface Pro with LTE Advanced will support Cat 9 modem. This means it will have maximum 450 Mbps download speed. It will also come with 20 cellular bands so users will be able to work in most parts of the world without any network compatibility issues.

"Surface Pro with LTE Advanced rounds out our family of ultimate laptops, giving businesses options to meet the needs of everyone in their workforce. The price of the LTE model hasn't been revealed as of now. The Microsoft Surface Pro costs $799 (base price). It has a 12.3-inch PixelSense display and is powered by Intel 7th-gen Kaby lake processor. It also supports accessories like the Surface Pen and the Surface Dial.
On a related note, Microsoft earlier this month launched the second generation of its Surface Book laptops, called the Surface Book 2. The laptop comes in seven variants based on different configurations. The cheapest model costs $1,499, while the most powerful variant is priced at $3,299.
