Moto X4 India launch date confirmed by the company [ad_1]



NEW DELHI: Motorola launched its Moto X4 smartphone at IFA 2017 and is now ready to bring the device in India. The company, after releasing a couple of teasers for the handset, has tweeted that it will be launching in India on October 3.

"Get ready for a #xperience unlike any other with the #MotoX4. Unveiling on 3rd October," tweeted Motorola India. The tweet is accompanied by a video indicating the arrival of an improved audio system, dual camera and more. The company has not yet revealed any other details.

The smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, and sports a 5.2-inch full HD (1080x1920 pixels) LTPS IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor with Adreno 508 GPU, clubbed with 3GB RAM. The Moto X4 also comes with 32GB inbuilt storage with support for up to 2TB space using microSD card.









The highlight of the smartphone is its dual-rear cameras. It is also one of the few Moto smartphones to come with dual rear cameras. The setup comprises of a 12MP dual autofocus pixel sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor with 120-degree field of view.



The 12MP camera comes with f/2.0 aperture, while the 8MP sensor comes with f/2.2 aperture. The Moto X4 is said to click images with depth detection and depth effects. It also records slow-motion videos, shoots in Panorama, and Manual mode among other modes.


For selfie lovers, there is a 16MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and a dedicated LED flash. The camera can shoot images in 4MP low light mode, Face filters, Beautification Mode and Professional mode. The smartphone can also shoot videos in 4K resolution (30 fps).



The Moto X4 is backed by a 3000mAh non-removable battery, which also supports 15W TurboPower. The battery is rated to deliver up t six hours of power in 15 minutes of charging.



The smartphone supports Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack and GPS. It measures 148.35x73.4x7.99mm, weighs 163 grams and is IP68 certificated, which makes it dust and water resistant. The metal-clad device was launched in Super Black and Sterling Blue colours. However, it is not clear if Motorola will launch both variants in India or just one of them.
