is soon going to launch a new Redmi smartphone. A new smartphone, dubbed
Redmi Note 5A
, has been spotted along with price and specifications.
The leak reveals that the price will be priced at 999 Yuan and will be available starting August 21.
Website slashleaks has revealed the details including a gold colour variant of the Redmi Note 5A. According to the image, the device comes in a metal unibody design. The rear of the smartphone features a single camera, coupled with LED flash at the top left corner and the Mi branding at the bottom. The right edge houses the power button and volume rockers, the left edge houses the sim card tray, the bottom edge houses the micro USB port and the top edge houses the 3.5mm headphone jack and mic for noise cancellation.
As per the leak, the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A sports a 5.5-inch HD 720p display. It will be powered by 1.4Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, coupled with 2GB RAM. The smartphone will offer 16GB storage and will run Android 7.1 Nougat. The listing also suggests that the smartphone will be backed by a 3,080mAh battery and will feature a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP selfie camera.
Earlier today, the company launched a cheaper variant of its Mi 5X smartphone in its home country. Bearing a price tag of CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs. 12,500), this smartphone features 32GB internal storage. At the time of the launch, Mi 5X was available in only one storage variant which offered 64GB internal storage coupled with 6GB RAM.
There is no difference in the latest variant and the earlier launched Mi 5X, apart from the storage.
The highlight of the smartphone is i ts dual rear cameras and MIUI 9. The Xiaomi Mi 5X sports a 5.5-inch full HD (1080x1920 pixels) display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor along with 4GB RAM.
