Xiaomi's Redmi 4 smartphone will be available in flash sale on Amazon India's website at 12 pm today (August 15). Successor to Redmi 3 smartphone launched last year, the smartphone is priced at Rs 6,999 onwards.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 comes in three variants based on RAM and storage. The 2GB/16GB varaint is priced at Rs 6,999, the 3GB/32GB is available at Rs 8,999 while the 4GB/64GB storage model can be purchased at Rs 10,999.
Some offers too are available with the purchase of the smartphone on Amazon India's website. These include up to 30GB additional data on Reliance Jio network; free subscription of Hungama Music for 12 months and Hungama Play for 3 months. Promotion credit worth Rs 200 for Kindle books; original Redmi 4 cases starting at Rs 349; and Mi headphones starting at Rs 599.
On specifications front, The hybrid dual-SIM smartphone Xiaomi Redmi 4 features a 5-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixel resolution and 2.5D curved glass design. The smartphone runs on 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor. Topped with the company's MIUI 8.2 skin, Redmi 4 is powered by Google's Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Xiaomi has, however, promised to give the smartphone Android Nougat update once the beta testing is complete.
As for the photos, Xiaomi's Redmi 4 has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. On the front, there's a 5MP camera. The smartphone packs 4,100mAh battery and offers users VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG and GPS as connectivity options.
Looks-wise, Xiaomi Redmi 4 sports an all-metal unibody design. The smartphone has curved edges and sports a circular fingerprint sensor in the rear panel along with the company's logo. The device also has an IR blaster. This means that users can also use it as a remote to control several electronic devices at home.
