Gionee A1 Lite smartphone with 20MP selfie camera launched at Rs 14,999

Chinese smartphone maker Gionee launched its mid-range smartphone A1 Lite in India at Rs 14,999. The smartphone sports all metal unibody and sports a 5.3-inch HD display The display is made scratch resistant with a coating of Corning Gorilla glass. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6753 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM.Gionee A1 Lite comes with 32GB of internal storage. Users can further expand the storage up to 256GB by adding a microSD card. The smartphone features a 13MP primary camera and a 20MP front-facing snapper. This also makes it one of the few handsets to have a high-resolution selfie shooter. It's backed by a 4,000mAh battery and has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Panasonic Eluga A3 and A3 Pro smartphones launched in India, price starts at Rs 11,290

Consumer electronics giant Panasonic launched two smartphones -- Eluga A3 and A3 Pro. The company also unveiled its latest brand campaign 'So Much To Do' for the new Eluga product series. The Panasonic Eluga A3 comes with a price tag of Rs 11,290, while the A3 Pro is priced at Rs 12,790. The Panasonic Eluga A3 and A3 Pro run Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box and offers 3GB of RAM. Both smartphones sport a 5.2-inch full HD display. The duo is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery and flaunt 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front camera for selfies. Talking about the differences, the Panasonic Eluga A3 comes with 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB. The device is powered by a 1.25 GHz quad-core Mediatek processor. On the other hand, the Panasonic Eluga A3 Pro is powered by 1.3 GHz octa -core Mediatek processor and offers 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded further by adding a microSD card.

Lenovo K8 Note smartphone with dual rear cameras launched starting at Rs 12,999

Lenovo, the Chinese tech firm that also owns Motorola, launched the K8 Note in India in two storage options. The 3GB RAM+32GB storage version is priced at Rs 12,999, while the 4GB RAM+64GB storage version is priced at Rs 13,999. This is the first smartphone to ship with stock Android UI instead of the Vibe UI. The metal-clad handset sports a 5.5-inch full-HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass coating and is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 (MT6797) processor. The Lenovo K8 Note is also the company's first to sport dual rear camera setup.The primary 13MP camera along with the 5MP secondary camera detects the depth of the image and creates a 'bokeh' portrait effect. For selfie lovers, the smartphone has a 13MP front-facing camera along with a dedicated LED flash.



LG Q6 smartphone with Full Vision display launched in India at Rs 14,990



South Korean tech giant LG has launched its first Q series smartphone in India. Dubbed LG Q6, the smartphone was launched in South Korea in July this year and offers features like 18:9 wide screen, facial recognition and military grade durability. Available at a price tag of Rs 14,990, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch 'FullVision' display with full HD+ display. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, it runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box along with the LG UX 6.0 skin on top. LG Q6 comes with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera with wide-angle sensor. The smartphone offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be expanded further by adding a microSD card. It is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery.


Softbank invest $2.5 billion in Flipkart



The world's largest technology investment company Softbank has put in $2.5 billion in India's biggest retail e-commerce startup Flipkart. The Japan-based Softbank is best known for its investment in Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba. With this, Softbank gets 20% stake in Flipkart. The latest funding brings Flipkart's total funding to over $6 billion.
