Chinese consumer electronics brand TCL Corp has launched its 2017 lineup of Google certified 4K UHD Android smart TV series -- C2 and P2M -- in India. While the C2 Series will include a 65-inch screen size TV at Rs 1,09,990, the P2M series will include a 65-inch and a 55-inch TV priced at Rs 99,990 and Rs 62,990.
Both C2 and P2M will be available for pre-booking on Amazon India, starting August 9th till August 15th. By September, they will also be available in most TCL offline stores and other online stores as well. As part of a special launch offer, the company is offering a 32-inch and 24-inch TV free with the purchase of 65-inch and 55-inch TV respectively.
Both TVs come with Google certified Android TV which is specially optimised for the units to enjoy high resolution entertainment in a big screen, claims the
company. This gives access to Google content including Google Play Store, Games, Music, Movie & TV, Google Cast and Voice Search. In terms of specs, the TV sets come with a 1.5Hz quad core A53 CPU, dual core Mali T860GPU coupled with 2.5GB DDR3 RAM and 16GB storage. The new series boasts of Harman Kardon speakers and Dolby & DTS technology. Both C2 and P2M have DTS decoding enables lossless audio decoding and create a rich acoustic-field replicating the sound of live-studio recordings, claims the company.
Commenting on the launch, Mike Chen, country manager, TCL Multimedia said, "The new TV range from TCL is a potential game-changer in the smart TV segment. Both C2 and P2M have exquisite features to give our customers a whole new experience in the TV viewing experience. Starting today, our new products will be exclusively available through Amazon. In a month's time by September, our products will be available in our online and offline stores as well."
