Samsung Galaxy Note 8's 64GB storage variant got listed on the company's site, reveling its model number as well as sonme of the key feature. The listing was soon taken down by the company.

14 not-so-new smartphones you can ditch your DSLR cameras for
So far, 2017 has seen a lot of powerful and feature-packed smartphones getting launched in the market. Among other things, these come with great cameras as well. But even as a lot of new and exciting smartphone launches are lined up for the second half of this year, there are numerous handsets launched in last year that come with cameras which can go against even professional cameras. That said, here are some of the smartphones from 2016 that you can ditch your DSLR cameras for.
Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge
While it's hard to pick an absolute winner when you're comparing these flagships, the Galaxy S7 has a lot going for it because of the reduced prices. You can snag a new S7 for about Rs 43,000 at the time of writing which is great value for the kind of performance it delivers. The S7 camera is so good that the company left it as is, even in the ill-fated Note 7, which was supposed to be this year's flagship. The f1.7 aperture combined with Samsung's dual-pixel autofocus delivers fantastic results irrespective of the scenario and lighting conditions. Moreover, the camera UI is loaded with tweaks and shooting modes.
Apple iPhone 7 Plus, Google PixelPixel XL
We could not decide on a winner between these two phones for the second position. The iPhone 7 Plus is certainly one of the best in every aspect and has the best implementation of a dual-lens system we have seen so far (that Portrait mode with super-shallow depth of field will blow you away every time). The issue is Apple still does not offer as much control over the camera as compared to Android. Google's Pixel delivers fantastic details, the fastest autofocus around (beating even the mighty iPhone 7 Plus), super-stable 4K video and amazing low-light capability thanks to some software magic. However, the pixel loses a point because it skips OIS -- this is a vital spec in flagships now.
LG G5, HTC 10, Apple iPhone 7
The LG and HTC cameras deliver great results on their own, but in comparison to the phones on the top, they lose out. Both LG and HTC suffer from more visible noise when compared to our first and second position winners. Moreover, the dynamic range, colours and details in low-light images are the common areas where both these phones loose out in comparison. The iPhone 7 has OIS compared to its predecessor and works as a great all-rounder phone like the LG and HTC. However, in a head-to-head comparison the Samsung, iPhone 7 Plus and Pixel, these phones feel lacking in results.
OnePlus 3, Moto Z
Both these phones tied for the fourth position for all-round performance. Both deliver fantastic images in day light but lost the top three ranks due to performance in low light. OnePlus 3 proved its mettle with great results in auto HDR mode and fantastic image stabilization (optical + electronic). Moto Z delivered better results with its f1.8 lens in low light compared to OnePlus but still was not up to the mark in comparison to the winners. What sets it apart is the option of the Hasselblad MotoMod. Using this snap on Moto Mod tuned by Hasselblad (a Rs 20,000 option), you get a 10x optical zoom, support for RAW image capture and a xenon flash.
Sony Xperia XZ, Honor 8
The Xperia XZ has a 5-axis stabilization system for video recording and the phone manages to deliver top-notch stabilized 4k video. Its focusing system is fantastic with the combination of phase detection, contrast detection and laser autofocus. However, still photos are where it skips a beat -- the lack of OIS leads to poor performance in low-light images. The Honor 8 stands neck and neck with the Xperia XZ with its dual lens camera. While the shallow depth of field is not as good as the iPhone 7 plus, the Honor 8 captures good details. Low-light images are great when viewed on the phone -- look closely and you can see a lot of noise in darker areas. One letdown on Honor 8 is the lack of 4k video recording.
Special mention: Asus Zenfone 3
Asus has focused a lot on camera quality with the Zenfone 3 range. It takes sharp images with minimal noise and has a great OIS system. The only reason it did not make it to the top 5 was that its performance indoors and in low light is lacking in comparison.
Special mention: Xiaomi Mi5
Mi5 was amongst the best camera phones when it launched earlier this year. The 16MP camera combined with 4-axis OIS delivers good results in daylight but it's not an all-rounder. In direct comparison, it fails to match up to the image quality delivered by our top 5 ranked phones.
Special mention: Nubia Z11 Mini
Nubia is still a less known brand when it comes to India (especially after separation from ZTE). However, the recently launched Z11 Mini's camera shocked us with excellent dynamic range, natural colours and fast performance. If it included OIS and 4k video recording capability, it could have been in the top 5.
The listed variant's pictures confirmed that the device will sport a dual-rear camera setup and will have the company's much-touted Infinity display that made its debut Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones. The images also confirm Bixby support in the device.
Earlier this week, another alleged leak about Note 8 smartphone surfaced online. Australian website Ausdroid claimed to have got hold of a brochure of the smartphone which revealed that the smartphone will come in Black and Gold colour options in Australia, which means that there likely will be no Deep Blue Sea model as widely speculated. Along with this, the brochure also reveals other alleged features of Samsung Galaxy Note 8. These include a 6.3-inch Infinity display, Smart S Pen, iris scanner, dual camera with 2X zoom and fast charging.
The smartphone is also likely to be dust-and water-resistant. The brochure also suggests that Galaxy Note 8 will be compatible with Samsung's Smart Switch app which enables users to transfer their data from older devices.
Recently, Galaxy Note 8 was spotted on GFXBench, revealing most of its key specifications of the smartphone. According to the listing, the Galaxy Note 8 is going to sport a 6.4-inch display of 1440 x 2960p resolution and will run Android 7.1.1 out-of-the-box. It will be powered by 2.3GHz octa core Samsung Exynos 8 processor coupled with 6GB RAM, of which 5.2GB will be available, and 64GB internal storage, of which 53GB will be available. The listing also shows a single 12MP camera in back with an 8MP front-facing selfie snapper. Both the front and the back camera will be capable of FHD (1920 x 1080) video recording.
Samsung is all set to launch Galaxy Note 8 smartphone at an event in New York on August 23.
