Consumer electronics giant
Samsung
's upcoming flagship phablet has been spotted on GFXBench, revealing most of its key specifications.
According to the listing, the
Galaxy Note 8
is going to sport a 6.4-inch display of 1440 x 2960p resolution and will run Android 7.1.1 out-of-the-box. It will be powered by 2.3GHz octa core Samsung Exynos 8 processor coupled with 6GB RAM, of which 5.2GB will be available, and 64GB internal storage, of which 53GB will be available. The listing also shows a single 12MP camera in back with an 8MP front-facing selfie snapper. Both the front and the back camera will be capable of FHD (1920 x 1080) video recording.
Samsung is all set to launch its flagship Galaxy Note 8 on August 23 and has seen its fair share of leaks and rumours in the last one month or so. The company has already started sending out invites for the event scheduled to take place in New York.
This week, the company also released the official teaser video for Galaxy Note 8. The teaser video lists out a slew of terms which are replaced by other terms after being slashed by the SPen. For instance, talk becomes act, step is replaced by leap and update becomes innovate. The teaser perhaps takes a dig at rivals as it uses the hashtag #DoWhatYouCan't.
There are no other specifications or details revealed in the video but it's clear that Samsung is talking about big features like the S-Pen. To lay emphasis on big, the teaser video is titled "Do Bigger Things".
In related news, according to a best Buy employee, the phablet will go on sale on August 24, just a day after its official launch. The employee has shared a Reddit thread in which both Verizon and Samsung channels have confirmed that the smartphone will go on sale, starting August 24.
