Micromax
has officially started sending invites for the launch of a new smartphone under the Canvas Infinity series.
The invite reads, "Micromax and Rahul Sharma cordially invite you to witness the unveiling of Canvas Infinity on Tuesday, 22nd August, 12 noon onwards at Pullman, Aerocity, New Delhi."
The company had sent out "block your date" invites to media last week. That invite read, "Let's put a number to infinity". But then, the company had officially not revealed the name of the smartphone.
The smartphone is said to come with a curved glass display and top bezel consists of sensors, earpiece and front camera. According a recent online report, the phone is expected to come with 5.7-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio and is said to run Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
Apart from this, Micromax is soon going to launch the Evok Dual Note smartphone also and has been posting teasers about this handset. The latest post from the company reveals that the handset will feature dual rear camera and will be exclusively available on Flipkart. The post reads "Double the artistry with the dual camera on #EvokDualNote - coming soon on @flipkart".
Micromax has been teasing the phone for a while now. Before this, Micromax had posted a short teaser video on Twitter with a caption "Do you measure your moments in pixels? #EvokDualNote, coming soon. Stay tuned!"
In April, Micromax had launched the Evok Note along with Evok Power, both of which were also Flipkart exclusive. Priced at Rs 9,499, Micromax Evok Note has a 5.5-inch full HD display of 1080x1920 pixel resolution. The dual-SIM smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek processor. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD cards.
