Users can connect the projector to set-top boxes, DVD players or wirelessly project using a wireless dongle to stream content from a smartphone, laptop, or tablet. The company claims that the device can offer a full HD resolution, a 20,000:1 contrast ratio, and 3,000 lumens of high brightness.

ViewSonic recently launched its home entertainment projector in India. Priced at Rs 1,14,900, the ViewSonic Lightstream Pro7827HD claims to be the first in the LightStream series to feature a RGBRGB 6-segment color wheel, which is powered by the company's SuperColour technology for detailed picture quality. It comes with a 10W speaker that is said to deliver clear and audible sound. The projector is equipped with ISF certification for color optimization and five viewing modes along with 2200 lumens and vertical lens shift.

BenQ launched its professional home cinema projector W8000 at Rs 2, 75,000. This is BenQ's first home theatre projector which comes with interchangeable lens options and is built for custom installation. There are 5 optional lenses, offering a range of 1.5 meter to more than 11 meter between the screen and the mounted location.
