We have known for some time that the Samsung Galaxy R would be powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip, as it has already been demonstrated in video and widely leaked on the web. Today, it is officially announced to the U.S market, even if the fine details are still a bit scarce: because it runs with Tegra 2, we pretty much know its capabilities, which should be similar to other Tegra 2 phones. This means 1080p video playback (5Mbps) , 720p recording and great gaming performance.
