The PlayStation Vita UK release date could be as soon as 28 October, if a flyer for Blockbuster is accurate.
The flyer, published on IGN, suggests that the next generation Sony handheld console, often refereed to as the PSP2 will make an appearance in plenty of time for the Christmas rush.
The PlayStation Vita is Sony's attempt to take on the Nintendo 3DS, and is looking to bring a rich gaming experience to portable consoles with a powerful processor and a price tag of £279 for the 3G version and £229 for a WiFi only version.
Key launch
It's a key launch for Sony, which has suffered a torrid time of late, with the horrifying Japanese earthquake affecting production and the company's reputation taking a dent from the highly publicised hacking of its PlayStation user details.
But, the buzz around Vita is certainly building, and the prospect of dual analogue joysticks, a touchscreen and a rear touchpad, along with bags of power under the hood is an attractive one to a huge audience of PlayStation fans.
Blockbuster's flyer is by no means a guarantee of a 28 October UK released date, but it is certainly approximately where we would expect a release.
Now we just need to know where about to start the queue.
