AirRun iphone AirRun allows iPhone users to outsource jobs

Here’s one for those of you digging Tim Ferriss’ 4-Hour Workweek. With a new app called AirRun, you can outsource jobs of all types and sizes, from deliveries to projects to items, while providing a multitude of job opportunities to those looking for work. On the other side, job seekers (so called Runners) can get an additional income by accepting and fulfilling tasks required.

Everything starts with a Seeker who has a job they need to be completed. Seekers can post requests for any job by filling out a simple form and selecting from available applicants based on their location and ratings. Runners log into the AirRun Marketplace to search for and apply for nearby jobs. Once they get the job done, Runners get paid by cash, PayPal or credit card.

In other words it’s similar to eLance, though as far as I’ve understood AirRun is best used for more mundane tasks.

To get more people to use the app, AirRun is pitching college students across the country as brand ambassadors. These students can earn cash incentives when they sign up fellow students to download the application…
