Activate your Japanese mobile phone. You need one purchased at a Japanese store, or activated in Japan. If you aren't sure how to do this, speak to a phone retailer. Many of them can provide you with service in English to make it easier. Be sure to ask them if mobile web browsing is included with your phone. Also clarify whether you have a monthly plan or if you will be paying as you go for your phone.
Turn on your Japanese cellular phone. It should automatically find a signal from whichever carrier you have chosen.
Click on the menu for your phone, or touch the menu icon if your phone has a touch screen. Choose the web browsing icon. This may look different depending on the type of phone you have. When in doubt, consult the phone's manual to find out what your web browser looks like.
Navigate to MSN Japan (see Resources). You can now access MSN from your Japanese mobile phone.
