Introduced by Hewlett Packard in 2005, the Pavilion zv6000 is a large laptop computer that came with the Windows XP operating system installed. With its large screen (at that time) and strong performance, the zv6000 was marketed as an affordable but durable computer. The Pavilion "Z" series came with an AMD processor as opposed to the "T" series, which was Intel-based.DimensionsThe Pavilion zv6000 is a large computer measuring 14.25 inches wide, 11.06 inches deep and 1.88 inches high. The unit weighs just under eight pounds. It has a 15.4-inch screen with a maximum resolution of 1280 x 800.ProcessorThe Pavilion "Z" series laptop featured an AMD core processor and the purchaser could customize the exact CPU. Lower-end units came with an AMD Mobile Sempron 3000+, running at up to 1.8 GHz; the pricier models had an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ that operated at 2.0 GHz. Both are single core processors.Memory and DrivesRAM memory and hard drive capacity on the Pavilion zv6000 could be customized based on the buyer's needs and budget. Installed RAM varied from 256 MB to 1 GB and could be expanded to two 1GB modules for a total 2 GB of RAM. Hard disk drive options included 40 GB, 60 GB, 80 GB and 100 GB.MultimediaAll Pavilion zv6000 models came with a CD/DVD-RW combo optical media drive and an AMD Radeon Xpress 200M graphics cards with 128 MB dedicated memory.
