Log in to an administrator account on the Windows 7 computer.
Click the "Start" button located in the lower-left corner of the Windows 7 desktop, then click the "Search" box and type "ncpa.cpl" and press the "Enter" key. The "Network Connections" window will appear.
Right-click on the icon of the network adapter that is currently in use and click "Properties" in the drop-down menu that appears.
Click to clear the "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)" and "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" boxes and then click the "OK" button to save the settings. The TCP/IPv6 and TCP/IPv4 IP stacks are now disabled.
