Press "Ctrl"+"Alt"+"Del" to open a menu of options for Windows. Click the button labeled "Start Task Manager." You can also get to the Task Manager by right-clicking the Windows task bar and clicking "Start Task Manager."
Click the "Applications" tab. This lists all the programs you opened. Right-click each program except Nero and select "End Task." This frees up the memory taken by the program.
Click the "Processes" tab. Right-click unneeded processes running in the background and select "End Task." For instance, iTunes starts in the background after you install the program. This program does not need to run while Nero is burning a disc.
Open the Nero software and attempt to burn the CD or DVD. Now that large amounts of memory resources are freed, you can burn your disc.
